MANEATER singer Nelly Furtado claims she was once offered megabucks to pose for Playboy. She said: "I was offered half a million dollars to pose fully clothed. To do it would be a vanity thing, an egotistical thing. It's not to say I'd never do it. It's intriguing, it's tempting. It's got to be under the right terms. We'll see what happens. I am a late bloomer. I have grown into my sexuality, not with a false sexuality as a 20-year-old."
IT'S a huge day for Scots music fans with The Killers, George Michael and Noel Gallagher in Glasgow tonight. The first two's gigs are at the Carling Academy and SECC, while Noel is doing a Q&A at the Imax after a screening of the Oasis documentary Lord Don't Slow Me Down.
THEY may have been dropped from their record label but the Futureheads are going to be busy in the run-up to Christmas. They have joined forces with pals Field Music, The Golden Virgins and Kathryn Williams to form a new band to make a Christmas album. They've teamed up as The Joseph And Mary Chain for a version of The 12 Days Of Christmas. The track will appear on a compilation album, It's Not Like Christmas, and profits will go directly to support the work of the charity Shelter.
